PAT, wagon ride, San Fran, and Say WHAT?!

This morning Amy (our Parent's as Teacher esducator) came over for Hollie and Mav's assessments. Basically she plays fun games with the kids and notes how they are developing. She mostly focused on Hollie today so Mav was just kind of playing along and learning cool new tricks like how to kick a soccer ball :)
After Amy's visit Hollie was wound up tight so we played bowling in the living room and then some more soccer while Mav took a nap. Thank goodness we have a good sized living room! It's amazing how much energy these little monkeys can store up! I am SO very ready for spring to bring warmer weather for playing outside!
After lunch we all went outside for a wagon ride. Since the sun was shining and it was a little above 40 degrees I thought we should head out for some fresh air. This was our first wagon ride since they got their new wagon for Christmas. Mav wanted to walk at first, but soon his legs got tired and he decided riding wasn't so bad after all. Hollie ended up pulling the wagon most of the time, and she did a great job entertaining Mavrick along the way too :) Not to mention burned off some more energy :)
All in all, not a bad morning.



This afternoon I got a text from Dennis asking if I wanted to go to San Francisco. Um...Heck YES!!! His company is having some geek convention (no offense to any geeks out there) in April and they asked him to go. They are paying his way 100% so we just have to pay for my travel expenses. I am so excited!! He will be busy during the days with work stuff, but will be free in the afternoons and evenings. I can't wait to spend my days riding the tolley's and taking pictures, and the evenings taking it all in with Dennis :) YAY!!!



Some slightly less exciting news (ok, down right depressing news) is that we found out this afternoon that the sales tax on our new car is over $4000! GOOD GRAVY! How rediculous is that?? On top of that we have to pay personal property tax and of course all the licensing fees. Blahhhhh. I miss Florida. They don't have personal property tax, and sales tax is way cheaper. Hmphhhhh.
