While we were out shopping, Dennis was at home constipating Mavrick with bananas and junk food. Joy.
On Sunday I was totally psyched to veg in my jammies at home all day, when I got a call from Uncle Rick asking if I'd like to come with them to the MoKan Rodeo and take pictures. I jumped at the opportunity to practice shooting since I knew they would be indoors with low-light and lots of action. I ended up being thoroughly discusted with my current set up, and have decided that as soon as I can afford one I am getting the super awesome Canon 70-200 IS zoom lens! Can't. Wait.! Until then, I doubt I'll be taking any more low-light sporting event pictures, lol. They all turned out really grainy because I had to shoot in such a high ISO, and blurry because I couldn't shoot with a high enough shutter speed with the flash on. Grrrrr. I did manage to salvage one shot. It's not perfect, but at least the day was not a total waste of effort.
Here is a picture of my aweome bull-fighting cousin Cody Lunceford...

Oh, also, it was freeeeezing. They don't have heat in their indoor arena. A big thank-you to Aunt Kim for brining their propane heater lamp. Without it my toes would have been popsicles!
